Dead or Alive 6 (Japanese: デッドオアアライブ6, Hepburn: Deddo Oa Araibu Shikusu, abbreviated as DOA6) is a 2019 fighting game developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo. It is the sixth main entry in the Dead or Alive fighting series. The game was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One on March 1, 2019, and was also released in the Arcades in Japan on July 18, 2019. Running on a new engine, the game offers new features and introduces new mechanics. Dead or Alive 6 was praised for its polished gameplay, battle arenas, and its beginner-friendly tutorials, but was criticized for its multiplayer functions as well as the absence of online lobbies at launch. A free-to-play version of the game titled Dead or Alive 6: Core Fighters was released on March 15, 2019.
