Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary is a downloadable content pack for Borderlands 2. It adds a new story campaign, new locations and enemies, and a new weapon rarity, Effervescent. Developed by Gearbox Software Quebec, Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary was first unofficially leaked on June 6, 2019, before being officially announced and released on June 9, 2019. It was available to all owners of Borderlands 2 free of charge from its release date until July 8, 2019, where it gained a price point of US$14.99 for future purchase.
