After Burner II is a 1987 arcade video game developed by Sega R&D1 and released by Sega Enterprises Inc. in the USA on December 14, 1987. The player controls an F-14 Tomcat jet fighter. The jet employs a machine gun and a limited number of heat-seeking missiles. The aircraft, cannon, and missile buttons are all controlled from an integrated flight stick. The objective is to complete 21 stages, all while gunning down and firing missiles at enemy jet fighters and evading incoming fire. After beating a few stages, an ally aircraft will arrive to replenish your missiles. This update allows the player to change the jet fighter's speed during flight, thanks to the addition of throttle controls. The music is also changed with electric guitar riffs added and chords were put an octave up.
