The game was released on March 26th, 2015 in Japan, March 15th, 2016 In North America[1] and March 18th, 2016 in Europe.[2] The Steam version was released on March 17th, 2017.[3] It is the seventh game in the series, and the sequel to Shinovi Versus. It features 5 brand new characters, 3 characters who were previously unplayable, and 4 guest characters from other series, bringing the total playable character count to 34.
