Pokemon Crippling Medical Debt Edition is a lighthearted decompilation romhack of Pokemon Emerald. Take on the world as an uninsured Trainer, and enjoy a custom story and region as you fight your way through the Pokemon League to earn enough to clear your debt! All Pokemon up through Pecharunt are available in-game. Mega Evolution is available, not including the new megas from Legends Z-A. Battle mechanics follow Generation 9. The difficulty is aimed at well-above that of normal games, yet below that of Kaizo hacks. Soft level caps and Set are default, but can be changed in settings. A standard playthrough should provide a satisfying challenge and require thought for gym battles. Nuzlockes are possible, and a Nuzlocke Conveniences menu can be enabled in the options. This decomp hack is built on a very heavily modified version of the 1.10.2 Pokemon Emerald Expansion Base from the Rom Hacking Hideout. This is a solo-development hack, finally complete for public release after about two years of on-and-off work.
