This game is mainly designed for hardcore nuzlocking but you can definitely have a fun time playing casually, but it will be hard to keep up in levels without rare candies. The opposing trainers have much stronger teams and a much steeper level curve, with boss fights in the mid game all having fully evolved pokemon and boss fights in the late game regularly having legendaries and mythicals. I have also added in some new bossfights to spice up the game so keep your eyes out for them. There are also certain very tough fights that guard very strong items such as Leftovers and the Choice Band. To combat this, as mentioned before pretty much every pokemon is reworked and is viable in one way or another. Encounter pools have also been completely shuffled, with most areas only having a certain type so you can get a wide variety of types while nuzlocking. The game also has a lot of QOL features such as a Porta PC, buyable Max Repels, Rare Candies and Full Restores before the first gym and the Move Deleter and Reminder being moved to Cerulean.
