Welcome to the State of Varadus, where obedience and loyalty are absolute. While most submit to his rule, those foolish enough to revolt are condemned to a prison embedded at the region’s edge: Northspire Penitentiary. You, the player, are one such person. After unknowingly helping a fugitive rebel escape arrest, you are branded a traitor to the State and sentenced to live inside Northspire’s walls. With nothing to protect you and nobody to turn to, you have little hope for the future… but a sympathetic cellmate decides to entrust you with a Pokémon. Stripped of your freedom, but not your will, you must navigate a prison built upon authority and constant surveillance. Uncover the truth of the Premier’s regime by taking on the Dog Tag Challenge, Northspire’s alternative to the traditional gym system, as well as aligning yourself with rival gangs, corrupt guards, and silent revolutionaries. Perhaps you may feel drawn to the Ninth Echo, a ruthless prison syndicate, or Blue Static, the underground rebels of Northspire. You may even wish to take the side of the State, or confide in no one but yourself. Your choices will shape your experience, your allies, and ultimately your fate, because in a place where trust is fleeting and survival is not guaranteed, every decision matters.
