Severed Chains

Severed Chains is an unofficial PC port of The Legend of Dragoon developed by Japan Studio and based on a decompilation of the game's code. It was decompiled into assembly, and then rebuilt in Java. The game was made available as a beta on March 26, 2023. A second stable build was released in July 2023, implementing most of the missing features: native screen resolution up to 4K+, 60FPS in all areas except combat, true widescreen in combat and worldmap, hardware rendering, various quality-of-life improvements, and hundreds of bugfixes.. Further development focuses on the modding API, including but not limited to script/translation modding. The fifth release is intended to add 60FPS support for battle.
