Bee-Fore the Storm
When a freak storm destroys your nest and almost you with it, you're left nearly dead in the wreckage, but the wild winds brought with them strange things. One, a cloud of what seems like pollen, but that proves toxic in almost any concentration. The other, a mysterious seed, the juices of which were the only thing that kept you alive long enough to recover. But it did more than that. It changed you. Now you're able to resist the floating pollen in small quantities, but survival still won't be easy. You're scrambling to repair the damage and rebuild the nest you lost. The storm caused a nectar drought from the intense rains and flooding, but you still have to eat. The pollen might not take immediate effect on you anymore, but it can build up and take over if you aren't wary. Worse yet, the clouds hovering ominously inform you that the storm will return soon. If you can just be ready for it, the pollen might be washed away, and nature might correct its own course. You must survive...
