Turbo Grid

Turbo Grid is a 1-player light cycle game for the VIC-20. To celebrate the year 3000, the Universal Inter-Galactic Sports Federation has decided to hold an Inter-Stellar Olympics. All galaxies are allowed to put forward one person to represent them. You are selected by computer to represent the Milky Way. The Olympics are based on a knockout basis. The deciding event is the dreaded Turbo Grid, a highly electrified grid capable of disintegrating everything which strays off the non-electrified lines. Can you survive the final duel against the Andromidan Robot. The player and computer both drive a light cycle on a grid, and can move in the cardinal directions leaving a light trail behind. Competitors can drive off the edge of the screen and appear on the opposite side, and the goal is to force the opponent into one of the trails left by the cycles. The first player to defeat their opponent 10 times is the winner. There are 3 levels of computer difficulty.
