GRID (Arcade) is an arcade cabinet racing video game developed by Codemasters and published by Sega, and the arcade adaptation of Race Driver: GRID. Two singleplayer modes are included - quick race and championship - in addition to multiplayer races if multiple cabinets are linked together. The game can be played with automatic or manual transmission.[1][2] Quick races can be played by up to six players who compete in one of four tracks over multiple laps. Championship is a singleplayer mode played over a sequence of tracks against AI opponents. It has three tiers and in each, players choose one of up to three tracks which have different difficulties. The aim of each race is to finish with the top three positions to progress to the next tier, and the race has to be completed before time runs out. By completing laps additional time is added to the countdown.
