Ms. Pac-Man

The first true sequel to the classic Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man is a decent PC conversion of the Atari arcade game of the same name. This is also probably the only sequel that Atari converted to PC itself (all the other Pac-Man sequels were converted from the arcades by Thunder Mountain). Anyone who is familiar with Pac-Man (and who isn't?) will find Ms. Pac-Man remarkably similar. In fact, it's almost the same game with few additions. Pac-Man now sports a bow on top of his head (or rather her, since we are talking about a Ms. here), 4 new maze layouts, and different fruits that are able to move around the maze. There are even intermission scenes, one of which introduces the baby (yup) Pac who would star in his own game, Jr. Pac-Man, several years later. But just like all other Pac games, this one is not much different. Gobble up dots. Eat fruits. Avoid ghosts. Needless to say, this gets tiring rather fast, although the new maze layouts helps lengthen the game's longevity a bit. A good game for Pac-Man fans, perhaps, but anyone looking for something different or even evolutionary will be disappointed.
